Yahoo Sports reports that, without a single cable company yet reporting their numbers -- and cable companies generally comprise about 60 percent of sales for pay-per-view -- the Mayweather-Pacquaio fight has officially racked up 2.25 million sales. That 2.25 million comes solely from satellite dish and FIOS services. If that 2.25 million were the entirety of the story, the fight would already be tied for second on the all-time PPV list.

But it's not the whole story, which means when all is said and done, there were probably close to, if not more than, 5 million sales for a fight that cost $99 a pop and was almost universally reviled.
