UFC ANNOUNCES TRANSMISSION AGREEMENT WITH REDE GLOBO

Ultimate Fighter Brazil, UFC events live in Brazil and other items of programming will be broadcast exclusively by Rede Globo

 

The first fight will be a heavyweight championship match between Cain Velasquez and Junior Cigano on 12 November in Anaheim, California.

Rede Globo and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced on Thursday, the 27th, one exclusive transmission agreement of UFC programming. The station will have exclusivity to broadcast every UFC event live in Brazil and three abroad, beyond the first Brazilian edition of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).

 

The first broadcast will mark the start of this agreement which will be the highly anticipated fight between heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez against Brazilian Junior "Cigano" dos Santos, scheduled for November 12 in Anaheim, California. TV Globo will also stream all UFC events in Brazil and other UFC programs around the world.

 

"Brazil is a huge market for the UFC and it makes sense to be the first country in which we produce our first Ultimate Fighter abroad. Let's find the next Anderson Silva and Jose Aldo, I have no doubt!
